Prepping for the parade?

As you get ready to come to the Seahawks parade tomorrow morning, here are some tips to beast mode your day:

That National Weather Service predicts sunny weather with the temperature high of 35 degrees. Public Health of Seattle and King County advises parade-goers to dress in layers and wear warm clothing, including hats, gloves and sturdy footwear.

What is the parade route?
The parade will start at 11 a.m. at Fourth Ave. and Denny, proceeding south on Fourth Ave. toward Century Link. View the entire route here.

How do I get downtown and home again?
Fans and downtown commuters alike need to plan ahead and pack their patience along with their Seahawks gear. Regional transit agencies are working together to provide services to the parade and details about transit reroutes. Please check transit options before you leave and have a plan or two on how to get home.  Dress warm and be prepared for delays.

There will be very limited parking available at the stadium and in downtown Seattle.  We encourage all fans to carpool or utilize public transportation. Drivers will want to look at options for parking at the edges of the downtown area.

Can I reserve my seat along the parade route?
No. The City of Seattle is not issuing permits for sidewalk use. Please do not block the sidewalk, business entrances or the street with chairs if you set up early. Traffic along the parade route will be diverted at 10:30 a.m.

Have you designated any seating for people with disabilities?
Limited, first come, first served space is available at City Hall Plaza on the eastside of 4th Avenue. The plaza is accessible by wheelchair on 4th Avenue, and access from 5th Avenue is from the west bank of elevators inside City Hall, which users will need to take to Fourth Avenue.

Can we bring confetti, streamers, and balloons?
The Seahawks and the City of Seattle encourage fans to celebrate with their legendary voices. The Hawks want to hear fans get loud, and they also want to keep our city safe, beautiful and clean. Please do not bring confetti or streamers to the parade.

Will fans be able to get player autographs?
All Seahawks coaches and players will be in vehicles and not be able to sign any autographs.  Many of the coaches and players make appearances during the off-season. Visit Seahawks.com/community for more information.

I can’t make it, how can I follow all of the fun?
The Seattle Seahawks will be live-streaming the parade and other festivities at www.seahawks.com. We will also be using the hashtag #Celebrate48 to capture all of the fun.

The City of Seattle looks forward to celebrating the Seahawks with you during the parade. Please remember to dress warm and have a safe, fun time. Law enforcement is working hard to keep the streets safe, but if you see something, please say something to an officer around the route. We want this to be a fun, joyous celebration honoring the team and the 12s.
